No news on hard drive size yet, which makes sense considering the idea behind the Chromebook, I imagine it is a tiny one since we should be storing everything in the cloud.
should be safe to assume the hard drive will be something around 8-16gb at most. anything more is gonna be redundant since your files are supposed to be stored online anyway.
Well the hard drive wont really be all that necessary, Since everything is on a Cloud Network , since it will all be stored online on the Vast network! Ad for a Chrome OS Tablet i could only imagine hoe sweet it would be
AS my pals and I are low-income pensioners, we abhor any possibility of extra expense in future for storage.
Acer 11" specs [ '14 build ] seem to maximize SD card slot to 2 GB.
Big news today !! Amazon selling Sandisk 64 GB SD cards for $18 USD !!
Has anyone actually tried a SD card larger than 2 GB ? I contacted Sandisk Support for info -- reply stated that Acer spec indicates that anything larger than 2 GB won't work.
This seems to be writer's opinion. I hope for an actual tryout result(s) for larger cards than 2 GB, rather than just an educated or otherwise guess.
Any anecdotal experiences with larger cards would be appreciated, since costs have dropped so severely these days ?
