This post was helpul...thank you, ever-so!

As I watched the video, I was a bit dismayed to see the Samsung KB keys display lower-case letters instead of CAPS (as also does the Acer). My hope is that one of the other mfgrs to offer a Chromebook later on, will use CAPS.

(Unless I win one of the 3 freebies, of course. If I don't have to shell out any $$$, I won't complain a bit, for sure!)

I appreciate the review. Given the limited scope of what the device is to be used for, I don't think HDMI is going to be a major limiting factor.

These are developed for web browsing and using online 'cloud' apps - generating documents and the like in google apps for example.

I am curious how it will handle alternative offerings like Office365, Zoho, etc. I'm also curious about the offline capabilities - seeing as how Google recently broke the offline capabilities when using the Chrome browser. Sure hope that's resolved before the release date.

The chromebook sounds amazing. I'm leaving the military in a month and heading back to school and this is definitely something i need!

I read somewhere that google was already working on another version of the chromebook - with a more powerful processor? Anyone else heard anything like that?

Is their a tablet running chrome? Or, using Chrome on an ipad?

Well, I am counting down the days! I would love to hear a little more from anyone who may receive one sooner, via the pre-order e-mail - just in case there might be a reason not to get one, after all.
