Atrix w/Laptop Dock Vs Acer/Chrome Book

The Motorolla Atrix Laptop Dock for the Atrix, may seem useless but that the fist question that poped into mind.

If we can have cell phone act as laptop's since the ATRIX is backed up on Andriod OS, and is constantly being updated rooted , the network accessibility and the extra functionality with the phone/laptop combo becomes a much greater, than a Stand Alone Net book for web browsing. Which it will limit us to web based applications only.

Though the Cost for an ATRIX is 499.99 off AT&T and the Cost of the Laptop Dock is also around that price, your total might come up to about $1000, which is quite a hefty price.

Also from Motorola that that docking system will be able to use with future phones and such. Are you willing to shell out the extra cash for a Multi Function Laptop/Phone with an android OS system that allows much Flexibility.

Or shall we stick with the cheaper option with the Basic of the ultra fast netbook/laptop that google as offered! The low price offered by google is the best part, where Samsung is starting to sell their Chrome book @ 499.99 a pop where as a ipad or play book or Motorola Alternative reaches the 700+ mark.I for one still cannot decide!

Atm till the chrome book get more info release and a more defined product, i would shell out the extra money for that laptopdock + an Atrix since future phones will be able to plug into it as well and make it a universal dock!

Not really a big fan of the Atrix. Chromebook is going to blow it out of the water for sure. Look out Motorola!

I wasn't a huge fan of Motorola as well, but recently they have been stepping up their game and stopped releasing trash phones!

I like Motorola, I wish they could just release a phone with a version of Android without manipulation of the OS. I want Gingerbread goodness in its natural form.

Hard thing to justify doing considering the other powerhouse android phones coming out, like the Galaxy II

The ARC is soon to be released as well, and the Galaxy 2 is also amazing, meanwhile the Nexus i would say at this point is outdated.
