new to chromebook. need some help please. saving files to the hard drive

just got a H.P 14 chromebook which in its self is great. but i having troubles saving pictures from a sd card to the downloads (hard drive) i ve done abit of googling and on the h.p site it shows that when you open up the files app and click on you memory card the pictures come up and next to them is a little box that it says you can tick and then move the pictures. the problem is there is no little boxes down the left hand side for me to tick.

theres a link to the diagram on the h.p site but how do i copy and paste the browser link so i can show you all..

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...name=c03651926

Its actually very similar to Microsoft Windows.

When you plug in your SD card or camera, it'll show up in the Files option of your Chromebook. Click on Files and you'll see your SD card or device on the left side where its lightly shaded in gray.

I've plugged in all sort of devices ... video cams, still cameras, Canon DSLR's of all sorts, just a memory card, USB 3.0 hard disks ... no problems accessing the files.

This technique works in both Windows and ChromeOS:
Simply drag a box around the pictures you want to select. If you want to add to the selection, you can hold down [CTRL] and simply click on the files you want to add. Or you can hold down [CTRL] and draw another box to select more files.
