Video codecs included with Chrome OS?

Does anyone know if the Chrome OS included with the 2 launch Chromebooks will include the necessary video codecs to play embedded videos? As an example, Flixster is included in the Chrome Web Store...and has a feature to play movie trailers. Will this video functionality be supported in the new Chrome OS?

On a Cr-48 I visited the web store and installed the Flixster web app. When I launch the app it takes me to the Flixster site and I was able to play multiple trailers. From this cursory test, I'd say Flixster will work fine out of the gate.
