Orlando Chrombook Pilot

Did you guys hear that Google Sent Orlando a bunch of free Chromebooks for a pilot program to see if the city could transition its workers to the Chromebook. They gave them to all their mobile city workers who didn't have laptops like fire fighters and other city workers. What do you think about this?

I live in Orlando. I don't work for the state though. Though I do have some buddies over there. They are pushing this and where the ones behind the move to G Apps last year. They are thinking over after the pilot they will be able to move all EMP's over to chromebooks and box's. The reason is losing key data. If everything is in the cloud...it is safe and more secure then resting on someone's Windows box...

That is true. Plus the data could be accessed from anywhere which might mean that everything is easier to coordinate. Which might just help the city work smoother. I hope my city tries something like this.
