Acer C710 vs. Acer C720

I have a question about keyboards in the 2 different Chromebook models.

I own an Acer C710, which has its own special keys for functions like Delete, Page Up, Page Down, etc.

I'm considering buying an Acer C720 for a family member;

but I noticed from the picture that it doesn't seem to have the dedicated keys; or am I wrong about this?

For example, for Delete on the C720,

would the person have to hit Alt + Backspace?

Thank you.

Yes, you've got that right FS, but it works very efficiently...

Further to that, simply pressing Ctrl + Alt + / gives a full review of all the extra functions on the C720 Keyboard... There is an explanatory note on the image, which disappears when the combination of ~ Ctrl + Shift are pressed, Alt + Shift are used together or even a Ctrl + Alt combination... The same applies using those keys singly...

Pressing The Esc key, will clear the screen...

I find the C720 to be an exceptionally neat and practical little machine... Having said that, I personally still have and use full computerized systems for daily needs... My Chromebook was purchased mainly for training purposes...

Hope that helps somewhat...

Robbie....

For further interest, I've shared a couple of screenshots with you... Hope these work... They show the various options available, when you press the appropriate function keys suggested...

Hope these extras help a little more

Further to the above, when the key function layout is showing, further key functions can be acquired, by pressing the Alt key on it's own ~ showing such items as Page up/Down etc...

Unfortunately, it's not been possible to take a screenshot of that, because the key combination required to do so: is not available...

Another little bit of interesting information FS, is that the touch-pad can be very (if not over) sensitive and can work as a left click at the lightest pressure... I've found that it is far better to switch the 'Tap to Click Sequence' off (in the general settings section) and use that pad in the normal manner of: Press/Tap with one finger for a left click ~ or ~ Press/Tap with two fingers for a right click...

At least, that's the way it works out on my machine... Have heard of other people though, having different problems, but these are my findings and they work well for me...

Hope that's of interest or help...

I also did buy myself a Chromebook C720 and mainly I have no complaints.
The only downside for me personally is that the keyboard makes a lot of noise when using excessively for writing.

I have slight problems when doing a great deal of keyboard work (large hands and fingers) so I tend to use a wireless keyboard and mouse for any excessive amounts of typing... It's so much quicker in the long run... I use Logitech gear, which works well...
