Cursor Erratic

The cursor is erratic, hard to move, sometimes the whole tab moves instead of the cursor.

Ok, this might help someone having touch pad / cursor problems.. I clicked on "shut down" and then had to sign in again, touch pad / cursor works fine. I also read that some extensions cause the problem ?

Hi Ezrollin...

Not going to say this is the answer to your problem, but it is something I've come across when teaching one particular trainee...

It revolves around how the fingers are placed on the touchpad... If you have three fingers close to the face of the pad or close together, it may well consider that to be a request to change tabs - which is a three-fingered operation... Also, if you have expanded the tab (using Ctrl +) and there is a scroll bar across the base of the screen, that will make the tab more sensitive...

As with me and my trainee, the skin and or finger condition does effect how things work... She can have a problem, scrolling up and down the screen - for instance - whereby such works perfectly if I scroll for her... Try rubbing your fingertips on some rough material: such can create a little static electricity in the skin... Such is known to help...

One other suggestion is worth a consideration... If the problem persists, get a wireless mouse and turn off the touchpad in settings... You will never look back...

As I said earlier, probably not the answer for you, but it might open the odd avenue to a solution of some sort...

Robbie....

We can only survive on this earth, as long as we're able to serve the purpose for which we came here...

Therein lies the 64,000 dollar question: 'What might that be'???
