Acer c7 shutdown/start up button

hi does anyone know what to do about this issue - i just bought the acer chromeback 7 and I have noticde that when i shut down my chromebook, it shuts off, but when I open up the top after it shuts down the blue light by the start button is already on and the computer starts to boot up - is this normal that you dont need to press the power button to restart this computer? I am concerned that the blue power start button light will go on while the top is closed and drain the battery as well as kinda irritated that it just starts to boot up without pressing the power button when the top is flipped open? thanks

My Acer works the same way. I kind of like it myself.

Chromebooks are supposed to start up as soon as you open the lid. It makes them just that much faster - I love it!

Thanks for both of your replies, didn't know if the chromebook was suppose to work that way and when I asked an acer expert on chat she had no idea

Just FYI...the Samsung Chromebooks do the same thing. Great feature.
