How do you think this will impact the thin client market. Most of that market was developed to address what the Chrome OS will deliver (low cost, security etc.).

It would take a big hit towards the compact net-book market, where everyone wants a cheap mobile computing power for a lower price. and also be well connected with the internet as well. It would also give other companies who still sell net-books step up their game and offer a better all around package where OS manufactures may step up or create a more streamline mobile OS for easier usage and quicker response for mobile purposes paired up against the Chrome OS system.

Chromebooks will be able to work as "thin clients" shortly. Citrix has been working with Google to create a "Citrix Receiver for Google Chrome" which should be ready real soon now. Organizations that like the appeal and lower cost of ownership of Chromebooks can host their legacy Windows apps on a Windows Terminal Server and run those apps using the Citrix Receiver for Google Chrome.
