Is there a chance that we would in the future see Chromebooks with a bigger HD space or rather Google will seek to make the 'cloud concept' very popular?

There's a great chance of that happening. If the Chromebook manufactures don't step up to the plate with a bigger chromebook harddrive, then there will always be aftermarket companies to fill the demand. People like yourself are already asking about it and I'm also curious when this will happen.

In the meantime, i will keep an eye on this forum for word on a bigger HD.

At the moment i just believe that Storage space will not be needed as they are trying to market it where all uses er put everything on to the Cloud.

For now these gen1 Chromebook pack a small punch but i'll wait till they come out with some more serious computing power!
