I just heard a rumor from a friend of mine that Acer will have a 13.1" version of the Chromebook coming out August 15th.... I think that would be my preferred size and vendor.

I can't tell you my source, but he is pretty reliable for this kind of stuff.

wouldnt 13" be a bit too big for a tablet. thats nearing laptop sizes now. any other details? is it going to be the same specs as the 12" but with a bigger screen?

Some people like the larger monitor to work on, certainly anyone planning on the Chromebook as a laptop replacement would like this option!

I commute everywhere so the smaller the better, I think the offer from Acer at launch will be right for me.

I like the sound of a bigger screen. I've been using a macbook for years so I'm used to the 13" size. If it's true then the Acer would be my choice.
