I'm seriously considering getting a Chromebook, so I went to Best Buy and played with some. On two different models (Samsung and...I forget), I opened Angry Birds. However, it took a really long time (felt like at least one minute) to get to the point where I could play. Is this typical? It did say that installing locally would speed up performance, so I'm guessing that I was loading it over the web. If so, I suppose it's possible that the Best Buy WiFi was just really congested..? Does anyone have any general app load time comparisons between online and local? Also, is the local install option unique to just a few apps, or a pretty common feature?

Okay, let me simplify the question: Does it take longer to load flash apps on a Chromebook than it does on a desktop or laptop?

If all Chromebook apps load as painfully slow as Angry Birds did on the two demo machines I tried, I might have to reconsider my purchase.
