The screws sealing the case on the left side of my Chromebook stripped out, broke, and left that corner loose. That wore down and broke off the metal port that the charging adapter plugs into. It fell out. May be fixable with some soldering (that I can't do), but I was wondering...

Is there any alternate way to charge my Samsung Series 5 Chromebook? Is there a USB device out there that will do that?

It does not appear that the battery is removable, so that won't help.

If there is no other way to charge, I guess it will die a slow death. Any help is greatly welcome!

Thanks for the quick response! Bummer on no alternate charging method.

I did find this: http://www.ifixit.com/Story4701/Repaired_Chromebook_Power_Connector

I am in better shape than the above link, as my port fell out intact, just with its connectors snapped from the motherboard. As someone with no experience soldering, I took a look at its place on the motherboard, and I'm wondering how difficult it would be to solder those four tiny connections.
