I am a volunteer teacher of computers and software for hundreds of seniors at large senior centers here in Colorado.

How loud is it? Some of them are hard of hearing.

Sounds pretty loud to me....way better than my sony speakers.

Yes, there is an output for sound that you can hook up to a speaker.

if you use decent speakers with external power supply then you can increase the volume even more because they have volume control externally too.
