i set up the acer for myself, we just got the samsung that i like better.
i want to change settings and ownership to my husband. his name and log on stuff when he turnes on the acer chromebook. How do i do that?

Just a guess, but go to the wrench, click on settings, then go to the user section and add your husband as a user. Wild guess here: then I suspect that you can change ownership to your husband there.

BWR, multiple logins != changing owner. The 'owner' is the first account to log into the device, and some settings are limited to only be editable by that user - stuff like the beta options.

I think you need to do a factory reset. Not sure on how to do this on the acer, but it's probably little different to the Samsung instructions here:

That's too bad. It would be nice to be able to change ownership without wiping everything out. In this case, Katt may have data and applications installed that she wants to keep on there as a secondary user, but relinquish ownership to her husband.

On the other hand, I'm not sure what affect it has being a secondary users versus the "owner" user that would matter to most people. I only have myself as a user on my machine, so have not traveled into that territory.

Unless you want to fiddle with chromeos, it makes no difference at all. I had to use my personal gmail account as the device owner, but since then have always used my corporate Google apps account for daily use.
