I recently had a Chromebook (Acer C732) with a black screen and the only way to fix it was to swap out the motherboard. I did this and the Chromebook is now working; however, the serial number on the motherboard does not match the serial number on the chromebook case itself. I've entered into Developer Mode and tried to change the serial number via the vpd -l & vpd -s commands, but I get a flashromPartialWrite()error. I've read something about removing the write protect screw, but I haven't been able to identify that screw.

Hoping someone on here might have some direction.
