Hey guys, this is my first post on this site. I am thinking about picking up a budget cheap Chromebook so I will have something that is thin, and light to program, code on.

I am in computer science right now and we are learning on Microsoft Visual, and I know that I couldn't run this on the Chromebook itself, but would it be a viable option to remote desktop to my desktop in my dorm to work on it?

I have been using Chrome Remote Desktop (from the Chrome App Store) to remote to my Windows laptop from my Chromebook to do some testing for work. It is fast to connect with no lag time. Works great!
