Hello,
I am using an Acer C720 with the newest version of Chrome OS. I have a bluetooth keyboard that's a Azio KB333BM.
The issue I have is the Chromebook keeps losing connection to this bluetooth keyboard. I don't think it's a keyboard issue. I previously used this keyboard with a Mac computer and never had this happen once but it began as soon as I sold the Mac and switched to the Acer C720.
There are times I can type on it and it works fine. Yet if I walk away from the computer and come back in a few minutes more than 50% of the time it no longer works. If I go into the menu and see Bluetooth settings it shows that the keyboard is not connected. I then select to connect but it just says connecting but never connects. The only way to get it to work again is to restart the computer and most of the time it then works.
This is obviously frustrating. This Azio keyboard is designed for Mac computers and has the Mac option, control, and command keys. Other than that I know most of the time these are still all technically the same as any other bluetooth keyboard so I wouldn't think this only works with Mac computers. Yet it seems that maybe when not used for awhile the keyboard goes into some type of sleep state and then wakes up when the computer is restarted.
First, I like this keyboard and would like to know if there's a way I can fix this problem. If not I'd gladly buy another keyboard but I want to make sure that it has nothing to do with my settings and is not a Chrome OS bug. I don't want to buy another keyboard and then have the same problem. If it is simplify an issue of Chrome OS not getting along with this specific keyboard I'd like suggestions of good keyboards I can look into.
Thanks in advance for your help.
