1. :) HP Chromebook is connected via HDMI to my Samsung Smart TV.
2. :) Logitech wireless keyboard is connected to TV.
3. :) Chromebook's beautiful opening screen displays on TV.
4. :) Wireless keyboard allows me to move the cursor around on the TV screen.
5. BIG PROBLEM ==> Chromebook screen image does NOT display on TV.

HELP? Does anyone have any advice (well, I mean about this particular problem)?

I hope I'm doing this right, it's the first time I've ever posted to a forum.

Basically, you've laid out your questionnaire well, although it needs to be a little more informative ~ if you don't mind me saying so...

Are you saying, that to begin with, the Chromebook page is displayed on the smart TV, but when you (so it seems) use the arrow keys to manipulate that which is being displayed: such has no effect... That's what I'm gathering from your initial post... Can you clarify that: one way or the other please...

Also, with there being a number of different models, that operate in slightly different ways, can you say which model you are working with ~ for instance ~ I have an Acer C720... What might yours be???

Thank you Robbie. My Chromebook is:

HP 14" 14-q029wm Chromebook PC with Intel Celeron 2955U Processor, 4GB Memory, 16GB SSD and Chrome OS.

Regarding the display, while the screen on the Chromebook (CB) might show YouTube, for instance, the display on my TV is only the beautiful startup page, the snaking road with headlights streaming like ribbons ... so, although the tv does reflect an image from CB, it doesn't mirror the CB screen.

Thank you for the clarification Lindychrome, all is now apparent...

As explained, I have a different model, but, I had a similar experience to you when I experimented with that facility, in that it didn't mirror that which I viewed on the Chromebook... I eventually countered that, by working on the 'Mirroring' settings that are available when using this application, eventually getting an exact image to that showing on the Chromebook...

Open settings, go to device and tap the 'Display Settings' tab, which will allow you to activate the mirroring of images... It is a tricky application to make work efficiently... Just keep playing with those settings until it does exactly what you want... I got there in the end...

Hope that helps...
