What would you say is the life cycle of the Chrome Book? Do you think these 1st gen ChromeBooks will still be available and usage throughout the years? Or will Previous Gen models just die off and become completely useless?

Or judging by the Build quality how long do you think the physical product will last?

I think most people will use them for 1-year, and then donate them to a worthy-cause. At $500/year you can afford to always have the latest and greatest.
Unfortunately, this kind of makes them anti-green... Google will have to consider setting up a donation to 3rd world countries or something so all these old Chromebooks don't end up in a landfill.
