That is awesome, I hope more airlines get on board with this idea!
When you login your account it encrypts all and just sets up your Chromebook just like your Chrome browser was. There isn't going to be viruses or Malware because a reboot would kill anything because of the verified boot process. And yes Virgin should and will monitor everything done from those machines. It will keep logs of places visited with data's and such. That is only because they want to keep safe if someone is doing something illegal on those machines.Very nice!! Now the other questions are: does it keep history records? Is it vulnerable to viruses and malware? And most importantly, will they be monitoring what people are using them for?
I hope so too and I completely agree with you. I am pretty amazed at how many people I've talked to that haven't even heard of a Chromebook, let alone Google's ChromeOS!!! I was at Walmart the other day and Walmart carries both Samsung and Acer laptops. I asked the sales lady in that department if she by any chance had heard yet if and when Walmart would start carrying and selling the new Acer and Samsung Chromebooks. She looked at me like I was a loony-nut case (as does my family...STILL), but I guess I can't blame them.....I am a little loony, but darn it, I'm not a nut case....Or am I???I really hope we see Chromebooks everywhere..the more in the field and people use them they will see the true value in the platform.
