As far as the Chromebox goes, there is still a great deal of speculation. Trimslice should have one out first, or it's called the Trimslice, and will be $199. However, I think Samsung will be one of many.
Chromebox manufactures
As of now the only company I have heard that will make the Chromebox is Samsung. Do you think that Acer and Asus will also have a Chromebox?

Samsung might be the only one who has officially signed on with Google Chromebox, but I am sure other manufactures will want a piece of this pie.

Chromebook = Notebook / Laptop
Chromebox = Desktop PC
At least that's how I look at it and understand it
