I got my chromebook early through the Gilt presale.
I've embraced it and enjoy it.

Observation:
After waking from a sleep the chromebook needs to re-establish the wifi connection. It goes through Configuring IP Address and then Connecting. During this period of roughly 20 seconds (which wouldn't be a big deal except for on a machine that boots in 8 seconds), it's pretty much useless; all resources trying to establish a connection perhaps...

Meanwhile, I went and grabbed an ipad which has been asleep for a week and it had maintained its wifi connection and was online instantly.

First, anyone having similar experience?
Then, any known setting tweaks which might address this?

Wifi resumes very quickly for me - certainly nowhere near 20 seconds. Might be dependent on your WLAN?

Any thoughts why the chromebook might be delayed in connecting to this wireless network when other devices (like the ipad) are not?

I have similar issues on a couple of networks. It is enough of an issue to prevent me from recommending the Chromebook to others.
