Connecting to a wireless printer

Hi there.

I have bought a new Acer C720 Chromebook and I have yet to open it. But I would like to discuss about Bluetooth connectivity with 3rd-party devices.

I want to ask how normally to connect to a wireless printer like my HP Photosmart 5510 which is a Google Cloud Print-enabled printer? Do I have to install a special software for it?

Please advice. Thanks.

printers...

Again, I've not got or used a wireless printer with a chromebook or any other machine for that matter...

But, I have seen printers such as you've described being named as workable machines with the CB... If you already have one, you've nothing to lose trying it out...

Personally, my equipment is networked and I print from my CB "wirelessly" via my router and windows 8.1 desk-top computer, to a basic SX200 Epson Inkjet printer, without any problems... In my case, the process is relatively easy to set up....

You should be on a winner with the machinery you have to hand...

Hope that helps somewhat...
P.S.

In most cases, all the set-up requirements, are in the chromebook settings, so there's no other programs to download or install...
Thank you. Did the job. Got my printer working again. I'm a happy bunny.
Re wireless printer...

You are welcome, well done ~ and thank you for letting me know... It's always a pleasure to be of assistance...

Liking my Chromebook. Its very quick. Battery life seems amazing. Screen is just a tad washed-out and speakers sound a bit muffled but for £199 i can't complain. So far.
Re: replying

The main reason I appreciate people letting me know that something suggested has actually worked or been relevant, is that some of those following the thread, may learn or understand something in the process, or; more importantly: gain the confidence to ask a question themselves...

What is that renown quote???

"It's good to talk"....
Sound...

Ah - yes Gino... Those speaker do sound a bit muffled and indistinct, but with my Logitech Wireless headphones up and running, I enter the portals of an entirely different world of sound... :)
I want to get some bluetooth speakers but based on my usageof my old Macbook and Windows laptop my activities and tasks using a computer doesn't warrant it.

We should hopefully see an improvement of specs to this year's CB. I bought mine as a means of testing the waters. I can always return it to John Lewis or sell it then get a new one in a couple of months.
Watch it Gino... If you change that quickly because of upgrades, you'll need about three or four new machines a year just to keep up with improvements: if they come about that often...
