I haven't seen any CR-48 cases on the market. Does that mean there aren't any? If you have one, what kind of case do you need to get for it?

My CR-48 fits in a laptop bag and book bag fine. I never looked for a snap on case because I know it wouldn't work. for a zipper sleeve the Macbook one seems to work ok...

My CR48 fits just fine in a netbook sleeve I found at TJ Maxx. I've had it since late 2010 and had no problems with it being stored there or in my briefcase without a case.. The one I have was 9.99 at TJ MAXX

I'd guess you'd have to re-appropriate other kinds of cases/sleeves for the CR-48, like the others said. Staples has some cheap-ish ones on sale, sometimes even really cheap ones in the clearance section.

I would think that the Samsung Series 5 would fit too...But I don't have mine yet . Once it comes in (thanks Chromebookforum.com) I will post high res compare pics. I have a feeling they will be close to the same size.

You should go for it, zora! I mean, why not? It's a good opportunity for sure, and you should take advantage of it. Heck, if I knew how to knit or sew or something I'd be doing the same thing.

What's an Etsy Business? Zora, I doubt I would want anything like that. Now if you could make custom bags with sewing, then it is something I might like. Of course I don't have a CR-48. Still a custom Samsung or Acer Chromebook bag might be cool.

That would be pretty neat, although I do wonder how protective a knit cover would be. A friend of mine has a felted cover she made, but she stuck extra layers in it (cardboard?) to make it more sturdy.

I've used a Toshiba Portege 3500 briefcase sleeve from my old tablet. It works great. Seems to be an exact fit. It looks like a padfolio with a document folder and handles. You unzip it and open it up having full access to the keyboard and monitor without having to take it out.
