Did searching, could not find the answer, inlaws need a laptop, i want to buy the samsung chromebook for them, but where they go for the summer does not have good cell coverage so 3g is out and also does not have high speed internet, does the chrome book support a usb dial up modem, and if so, is there a list of compatible modems that have been tested?

the newest line of chromebooks come with an ethernet port for wired access so worst case senario you would have to have a wired connection with a dial-up modem. Compatibility with modems comes down to hardware, not software, so you dont have to worry about incompatibility (as long as the modem was made this millennium)
