Printers...
I don't think it's a case of the/a printer being specifically made/designed for a chromebook... If you have a printer (full stop) and it's either connected to a computer that's attached to a router, or it's wireless and completely 'stand-alone' ~ you should be able to send material from your chromebook to that printer: to obtain hard copies, via a cloud process... But check that out for sure with the/a supplier...
As long as the printer can be associated with cloud printing, you'll be on a winner...
As for cost, among other pieces of equipment I have a Samsung laser printer, that ran out of toner soon after its purchase which was a big surprise... A bigger surprise, was the cost of replacements ~ about £120...
For that price, I can get 36 sets of good quality compatible inks at a computer fair, that will produce roughly 3500 copies on my Epson sx200 inkjet printers for the same price...
I kinda know where my loyalties lie...
