Two more weeks and we still cannot stop speculating; but what else can we do when we await a whole new concept? Based on the argument that Google has been exhibiting poor execution on items out of their core search/ad space, critics want to base their argument on that.

Do you support the view that he Chromebook will either crash and burn or be recalled if it does not catch up?

I expect Chromebooks and the ChromeOS to evolve over time. I do not agree with any of the following premises:

• Google has been exhibiting poor execution
• Chromebook will crash & burn
• Chromebook will be recalled

Clearly, a hardware manufacturer might have some problem with a component that could lead to a product recall, but that's happened countless times with most of the manufacturers in the PC industry. Also, it's not inconceivable that Android's future versions and ChromeOS's future versions might benefit from greater overlap/integration.

I also don't expect there will be an accurate assessment of the ChromeOS's success or failure by the end of June.

No - I am pretty sure this is going to be the new trend in laptops. With nothing to download and less chance of the computer crashing - oh, yes!

I think this first launch will be mildly successful, that said I expect adoption of Chromebook as a notebook solution to aggressively spread during the next 3 years.

I agree, I think it will be a slow to moderate launch. However, I do not think it is doomed to fail. I think, years from now, we are going to computing in a whole new way and we will look back and say, "The Google Chromebook started it all."

I really like and support the cloud concept. I'm surprised that no one else but Google has been able to push it forward in this fashion. Don't know if it will succeed but I'm rooting for the Chromebook.

Yeah, the Operating System is cool, that's for sure. Other than that, it would just be another laptop. But, still, I am pretty excited about the whole thing.

I don't necessarily think that the Chromebook will fail but I don't see them catching on quite as quickly as other products. I think it will take some time for them to grow in popularity but it won't fail.

I think the idea is that we are having some sort of culture shift, where we are sort of getting rid of the idea of internal storage and going to the cloud.

Nonetheless, I think we can trust Google to make things good.
