Now, that sounds awesome! The less downloads, the better. I wish someone would have come up with that idea a long time ago! So many things I've done without, just to avoid another download!

Yeah, I'm a little confused, too. I see the word "Windows". And why would you need this? Doesn't the Chromebook do all of these wonderful things already?

It's a web application that offers remote desktop capability. Unlike other competing offers, this one is in pure HTML.

I am not going to get in on the beta testing but if they can get all the bugs worked out then they are on to something really important here, something Google Chromebook users will really like.

Anyone tried this succesfully? I'd LOVE to be able to do what's in the video there. Do I need to install software of my desktop here at work, or does it need to be installed onto a server (by IT)? Sorry for the remedial question. Thanks in advance though

Usually software like this need to be installed on a server but sometimes it can be like GoToMyPC installs. If it is installed on the server you could RDP in to the server then use MS Remote Desktop to RDP into your machine...if the ports are open and IT allows you to do this...At my work..that would be a HUGE NO!

Ericom access now requires you to install their product on your Windows terminal server and then enables RDP over http/https. We use it at work and it works great. Technically, AccessNow is for any HTML5 complaint web browser. The ChromeWeb store now has an application called Chrome RDP that enables you to connect to any RDP host without additional software.
