What about external usb devices, like dvd burners, printers, scanners, cameras, etc.? Are these supported? Can the Chrome OS deal with this interface?

I was wondering the same thing. It can deal with flash drives, but how about hardware?

It will have two USB ports, so why won't it support the devices? I am sure they know that we will need to use all of these things...

I don't know about imaging devices as that would probably be more of a Flash dependent issue, but as far as USB wireless mice go, I've had good luck.

I have a Rocketfish (Best Buy store brand) USB wireless mouse with the nano receiver for my laptop that I decided to try with the Cr-48, and it works flawlessly.

My guess is that if the device works out of the box in linux, it will work in ChromeOS. If I had a CR48 I'd be doing ctrl-alt-t every day (http://www.chromebookforum.com/forum/14-google-cr-48-forum/217-crosh-shell.html).

That was my take as well since it appears to be Linux based, but of course whatever you plug in would need an app that utilizes the hardware to make it useful unless it was some form of input device like a keyboard or mouse.
