I bought a used Acer 14 Chromebook last summer for my wife to browsing web. Nice laptop to take with you with FullHD display and long battery usage time.

But yesterday the laptop started going totally black screen, if the charger plug was detached. Still the battery was 86% full and had 95% capacity?

I unplugged the laptop and opened all the small screws from the bottom of the laptop and checked the battery, which looked OK. Then I detached carefully the battery's flat connector from motherboard and after a while I attached it firmly to its place.

The laptop started to work again without attached charger all the time. Possibly the laptop has dropped so that the battery's connector was only partly in its place.
