Based on my experience with the cr-48, it would seem that someone would quickly offer a GPU optimized Chromebook for folks who would be watching streaming HD video.

Does anybody have an opinion as to whether this is unrealistic or unfeasible?

I ask because I'm wondering when that might become a reality some time soon. My cr-48 will need to be replaced someday...........

I was wondering about that too. I saw a link about video's on a Chromebook and it wasn't positive.

Adobe seems to not know how to enhance flash. Most open formats and closed (mp4) seem to work fine...the issue is online flv's rule the world..and since Flash is closed source..they do what they want...

Read an item that Netflix is in the dev channel on Chrome. It will be rolled out soon.
I've read mixed things about video playback, but I suspect it will get better in the future.

Netflix is on the Dev channel for Alex (Samsung) but isn't currently working or doing anything...
