Turning off CB screen...

Hi there...

I've had my CB successfully connected to my TV and I'm rather interested in your needs to turn off the CB screen, after connecting to an external monitor...

In the process of such connections, I thought the idea was, that what you viewed on the TV (etc) was a mirrored image of that which was on the CB screen ~ at that time... If you switched the CB screen off, wouldn't that also cut the image on the external equipment: one being a mirrored image of the other...

I'd be interested in your findings, one way or the other...

Regards...

There are two options when using an external monitor with CB:

Mirror which is what you described.

Or you can make the external monitor the primary one. So what ever you do on the CB is only visible on the external monitor. The CB monitor just stays on the desktop view.

What I want is to be able to turn of the CB screen while watching a movie via CB on a external monitor.

I've learned that if you have the CB connected to an external monitor and have it be the primary screen you can close your CB and the external monitor will come back on after going blank for a few seconds.

Now that's what I wanted BUT after the external monitor comes back on the movie that I have streaming switches from full screen back to in the web browser. So I have the external monitor playing the movie in full screen and as soon as I close the CB and the external monitor comes back on, it's no longer in full screen mode...which is what I want to stream the movie in.
