Hello,

There is one question I simply can't find an answer to. I'm lookin into in to replace an vista laptop for a chromebook. Mostly the laptop is used for browsing and import en storing photo's from the digital camera.

My question is, is it possible to import photo's from a digital photocamera with the chromebook and save them directly to an external usb hard drive?

So without the upload to a webservice like picasa or dropbox?

For the rest everything smeens clear about the funcationality of the chromebook, but this one thing I cann't figure out.

Thanks.

I'm pretty sure the local file manager could do that. I've used it to move files between a usb stick and local storage before; there should be no problem going from SD card to a usb disk.

It would be slick if Chrome book had three SD card slots on the bottom of it for just this propose. A whole lot of software exist now that can be run off a Jump Drive on a PC or laptop now. It seems this is the next evolutionary step Chromebook is going to take and something i am waiting for.
