Hi, I recently decided to disable the root password, and tried to change it to [Enter]. However, this didn't work and my old password stopped working as well. Is there a way to change it or to reset the crosh? I'd like to avoid resetting the whole system. Thanks for your answer!

Why are you so afraid of resetting (power wash) your CB?

Almost everything is stored in the Google cloud. Just your local files will be lost.

But what do you mean with "root" password? I don't understand that. If you want to login to your Chromebook, you need a Google User. And the password of your Google User can be changed via the Google Website. And it can be send to you via email.

Perhaps you can describe better, what you did and where your problems are.
