Am about to purchase the Samsung chromebook 2 (either the 11.5 or 13 inch) Its my first chromebook.

My question: Does the Micro SD card when inserted in its slot extend past the edge of computer or is it flush with the edge of the computer?

You will need a standard size SD card... The micro size will be too small...

When inserted in a Acer c720 Chromebook, the card stands proud by roughly one and a half centimeters... I imagine all models will be the same, unless the more resent machines have a press and releace setting, as there is in cameras... But I doubt it...

Might I suggest that you take a card with you and try it in the slot before purchase...
