In the Chromebook settings, there is a section entitled: 'Device'...

This area pertains to the mouse and touch-pad settings: two sliders to adjust the outcome, which amounts to the speed with which the screen pointer moves from 'A' to 'B' and the sensitivity of the touch-pad ~ i.e. soft or harsh application...

This is in situ on my chromebook and I've adjusted things to suit my usage... See image (Hopefully)...

However, on my friends Chromebook, there is only the slider, that adjusts the movement of the pointer (sorry, but no image for that is available) the slider for the sensitivity of the touch-pad: is not visable...

Has anyone else experienced this error, or can such be put to rights, using the update tool...

Be pleased to hear from anyone who has either one aspect of this feature like my friend: or a complete double act as is my counterpart...

Lame Duck...

I must confess. I've been a bit of a lame duck with this topic, although I don't place the entire fault solely on myself...
Without a user manual of sorts, it's been something of a trial and error journey, to find out exactly how this or that works on a Chromebook, as opposed to a PC...

But onwards and upwards ~ as they say...

For the past few hours, I'd been using the wireless mouse in a PC, leaving the chromebook, with just the touch pad to negotiate around the screen... Clicked on 'settings' to check something out, only to find (in the process) that the mouse adjustment feature in the settings wasn't there... Apparently, that, only comes into view when a mouse is plugged in... It's not a set feature, that works (or otherwise) when 'A Mouse' (or an adapter) is actually plugged into the USB port...

That, if no one minds me saying so, It's one of those 'unexpected' workarounds that any operator can easily fall foul of... That's why I though it would be helpful to mention it here...

All's well that ends well... Have a good day everyone...
