Looking at few reviews about the Pixel, it seems the anti Chromebook reviewers are slamming the price of this new touch screen unit. If you take the time to review similar laptops running an i5 processor, with a Gorilla Glass screen, then you are in the same price range.
The Pixel will dual boot a Linux of your choice, making it possible to not have the hassle of secureboot that puts the keys in Microsoft's control (I understand secureboot is larger than the Linux Kernel).
