For my Chromebook to be most useful, I'll need to use Remote Desktop Protocol to a corporate desktop. Alternately, I should be able to remote into our VMWare VDI. Are either of these possible with Chrome OS, please?
Did you ever find anything? What I see in the app store should not even be included under remote desktop client. I need the same solution you need - a real RDP client that allows you to connect directly to a Microsoft terminal server.
I have not found a native client. I tested AccessNow - client/server option - using their demo and it works really well. They never contacted me back when I inquired about pricing. The bad thing about this option is the IT department would have to agree to purchase and install the AccessNow software. Not likely to happen in most environments...
We purchased some licenses of Ericom's AccessNow at work. It runs really well in the Chrome browser and I prefer it to the windows rdp client for most activities. The only thing that drives me a little crazy is that the cut/paste functionality is REALLY basic - text only.
