Hello everyone i am new to this forum!

I recently bought Samsung Chromebook 2 from amazon, i am expecting to receive it next week. I am worried about the screen quality since i am used to a bright high resolution screens just like Macbooks, so how does the Samsung Chromebook 2 compared to a Macbook Pro screen quality, anyone would tell me his/her experience?

Not having a Macbook machine or tabet (whatever they are) makes it difficult to evaluate that which can be offered, by way of comparison...

However, from my perspective, the Chromebook, in the visual aspect, is sufficently bright and cheerful, very readable, because the size of pages (text etc) can be adjusted (in the settings) to suit individual needs...

I'm used to a 24 inch (all singing all dancing) monitor and I don't have a single problem with the change over to the miniscule CB...

That's the best I can do Pal... Hope it helps somewhat...

The thing is, the CB is not an up-market piece of equipment... I consider it to be a middle of the road machine, that hangs about halfway between a tablet and a small averaged priced laptop, that does an average kind of job, for an average bottom range price... You'd never expect to get a Rolls Royce performance out of a mini, so at that, the CB will do it's best and I hope it will meet your requirements...

Good luck....

As a second thought, you can always run the CB through your television, to improve the quality to some degree... You'll just need an HDMI lead to make the connection... Mine works a treat through my telly...

Chromebooks are not particularly known for their good screens. The screens are not terrible but you definitely should not be expecting Macbook quality screens. The price of that Samsung Chromebook 2 does not even come close to the price of the cheapest Macbook, so yeah I think it is logical that you will not be getting similar screens...

Personally, I do not have problems watching high resolution videos in full screen on my Chromebook. It might not be the most amazing and wonderful experience, but it ain't bad either; watching a movie for example is still very enjoyable.

I am posting this using my Samsung Chromebook 2 and yeah the screen is decent but definitely not close to Macbook overall i like it and i like the track pad it's very responsive and smooth very close to mac experience.

I hope Toshiba Chromebook 2 comes close to Macbook screen if anyone could share their experience of any kind (track pad responsiveness, screen...etc)

My CB is an Acer C720, which I've had for a good six months now... I like this little machine, especially the quirkie operational features ... Find them quite remarkable...

The only thing I dislike about it, is the tap to click phase on the 'touch-pad'... That has been far too sensitive, although there is a means to deactivate that feature: which I have applied...

Against the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3, the screen is able to cope with all required of it, once the type sizes have been set to readable levels... Prior to that, wording was a little on the small size for most workings...

Apart from that, I can do most things on the CB that I can on my main Windows computer: allbeit some items are a little resricted...
