I read that Samsung Series 5 Chromebook has a battery life of 1,000 charging cycles. What does that mean in real person time? How long is one charging cycles?

A charging cycle is when you run out of battery and recharge the battery fully. So, according to samsung, you can run the battery out and fully recharge it 1000 times before the battery is unable to recharge.

That's cool! I had never heard that term, and didn't even realize that they can actually estimate that type of thing. Maybe I need to start keeping count, haha!

I think what this means about the Samsung Google Chromebook is that the battery life should be as long or longer as the computer, considering this is their first go at it.

I think that battery life is very important, just because these chromebooks will be used a lot on the road, because of their portability.

I usually don't wait for my cell phone to completely discharge; I just charge it up overnight whenever I see it about half full. I'd sort of planned to put the Chromebook on the charger every night. Wrong?

Charging cycles are amount of times yOu can recharge it befOre the battery will no longer charge but it has unto 8hrs of battery life and about two months insleep but not to sure if the second is accurate
