OK - got my new chromebook off of amazon and starting from knowing almost nothing. really.

first question: when I go to my e-mail, every e-mail I ever deleted back in Outlook Express is still there!! I don't want to just delete all 4500+ because there were some I saved in various folders and I don't want to lose them.

is there a better way than simply going through every last one?

You could try searching for terms that you know are in the emails you want to save, then move those to another folder. Then you can mass delete the other emails.

That is what I was going to say. It would be easier to first sift want you need then get rid of the rest. I have a couple that need to be deleted as well but I have lately been lazy to go through my email.
