I haven't been able to figure out how to access drive properties to see how full SSD drive is, if that's possible. Also I just installed a 32gb SD card and same goes for that. How can I view drive properties and re-name drive? It just shows 'untitled drive' in the 'files' folder.

I had the same problem. From what I understand from my research, there is no way to rename it or check the properties (free space) while it's in the Chromebook. Google is working on this.

I had to put mine in my Windows computer and renamed it SanDisk 32G. When I put it back in the Chromebook it showed up with the name SANDISK 32G.

Select the drive on the left side of the screen.
In the upper right hand corner of the file manager click on the three dots stacked on top of each other.
It will show:

New indow
New folder
Help
x GB left
