I had a Dell 2-cell battery laptop and the specs indicated it was able to last up to 8 hours on a single charge. I bought the story but it turned it could not even do 5 hours.

I want to shift focus to the Chromebooks and ask whether or not booting in 8 seconds is a reality?

Yes, the boot time is very fast. I've estimated mine at 10 seconds, most of it with obtaining wifi again. It is really nice.

It is nice to hear the boot time of the Chromebook verified. Every day when I turn on my computer and have to wait I start wishing I could buy a Chromebook right now!
