I am wondering if there is a torrent app for the Chromebook?

Given that there is not much storage on a Chromebook, would the torrent app be able to save to the cloud? I think that would be ideal, and then in the case of movies and such, perhaps we could actually stream them to our TV.

OK that might be gettting carried away... but I think the torrent app for Chromebook is one of the most important apps for techies and will increase adoption rates.

A torrent app acts as both a client (downloading) and a server (uploading), and so it needs to run on a computer with/near sufficient storage like a big hard disk.

It would be hopelessly inefficient to run a torrent app with remote storage, so I can't see how they could possibly work with Chromebooks. A better answer would be to have your torrent server at home, and be able to remotely control it from your Chromebook from wherever you are - you could use one of the RDP apps for this, or the WebUI for uTorrent.

i doubt they would let you download into the cloud and upload from the cloud as usually torrents are download onto you computer so it would double the down from torrent to cloud and back out the cloud as well.. i would just stick to my old desktop as a torrent machine
