I just installed Ubuntu on my Chromebook and was wondering if anyone can offer some advice , or reference links , on how to tweak Ubuntu ?

I did manage to install Gimp as well as the Ubuntu version of office but other than that , I am a bit lost

Needless to say , this is my first experience with Ubuntu and I am hoping that a more experienced member out there can offer up some helpful advice .

Thanks all

For those interested , here is the guide that I used to install Ubuntu on my Chromebook .

Best to register at Ubuntu Forums . . ubuntuforums.com.

It might have been easier on you to install "Kubuntu" instead of Ubuntu because Ubuntu uses the "Unity" desktop, which is a tabletized PC interface - - and takes some getting used to. Kubuntu on the other hand uses KDE, which is a standard PC interface (very similar to Windows XP/NT/7.

Also, youtube has many well done tutorials on all versions (distros) of Linux. See distrowatch.com for more info on the top linux distros.
