I know this is going to seem like a strange question, so please be nice. Can you please tell me what a CR-48 is? It is a computer, who was that made by?

As a Cr-48 pilot, we were told that we'd keep the Cr-48's. It's a nice machine and it foretells just how dependably we can use "the cloud" for things we use to store locally.

One of the most important features (for me) has been the time saved from not having to do daily backups. Couple that feature with the elimination of a registry and malware apps. Then add the assurance that a new machine can be up-and-running with my personalized apps in less than five minutes and I've become a real fan.
So were you a tester for the product? Daily backups is a lot of info most people that i know of dont even back up their computer once a year. as for, malware and registry apps we dont know if those are not prone to Chrome OS at all.
Yes. Been testing since December 20th. There are not any malware applications to be subscribed to, updated or managed. There is no registry editing or maintenance. Lastly - and most impressive to me - the Cr-48 has gotten faster since I began using it in spite of adding some apps to the new tab page and using it for hours every day.

Once people overcome the mindset that says, "my stuff has to be on local media," the Chromebooks will become one of the truly low-cost options for personal computing.

Just my 2 or 3 cents.
