I'm wondering right now, if the Chromebooks will be able to run Java Web Start applications via JNLP? Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Currently, they do not support Java or Silverlight.
I'm hoping more for Java than Silverlight but we'll have to wait and see.

Same here. I'm an occasional user of the excellent screenr.com, which uses java.
