Hmmm, not sure about this one. My external HDD was recognized, but I have yet to try the dvd/cd writer. Because this is not an OS I am not certain that a disk writer will be recognized. You would need a disk driver that would work from within chrome, not sure that a standard windows driver would do it.
If you decide to try it, be sure you read up first on "How to recover Chrome image".
Then, I would try the windows driver for the disk writer first. Download the self executable if it has one and try to select it from the download folder.
I am of the opinion that it probably will not work.
